"We are grateful to the agency for our introduction and assis-tance in Kiev and Australia.
Tina's adaptability and quick learning has meant we have had very few problems so therefore we have required very little assistance from you since Tina came to Australia. However prior to this, you were invaluable to both of us, especially in Kiev. Without Val & Era's assistance, it would have been nigh impossible to have met and brought Tina to Australia."

WHILE many people stereotype the Australian male as an uncouth, rough-and-tumble type, the word from the former communist bloc is that Aussie blokes are highly prized as potential husbands.
Val and Iryna Girilovitch have access to thousands of Russian and Ukrainian women eager to find their perfect match Down Under and have spent the last few weeks scouting the State for prospective husbands.
The Girilovitchs' company, From Russia With Love, has offices in Brisbane and Kiev in the Ukraine and matches couples from either side of the globe.
"Our job is to bring them together ... and assist them in every way possible," Mr Girilovitch said.
He said one of the main reasons for the "thousands of ladies" on his books was their hope of finding a husband and a better life in Australia.

"The economy over there is so bad that they look forward to a normal lifestyle, so to speak.

"Their first priority is to find a husband... not someone with bad habits, a stable sort of fellow."

He said the Sydney Olympic Games had raised the profile of Australia among the Russian people.

"The ladies in our books have a pre-knowledge of Australia that is a good country," Mr Girilovitch said.

"Australia, seen through Russian or Ukrainian eyes, is seen as a land of opportunity - a fantasy island."

Mr.Gavrilovich said Russian women had an exellent reputation as loyal and loving wives.
Each prospective client is interviewed to determine their suitability for the program and helped to find their ideal partner.
"You can't live in a caravan park and be on the dole and ask to be introduced to one of these ladies because it's not realistic."
"The more stable they (Australian men) are, the more eligible they are."
From Russia With Love has a catalogue of photos and brief biographies of Russian women that prospective clients peruse to find the woman of their dreams.
Having been in the business for nine years, Mr Girilovitch said the success rate of these relationships was about 85 p.c.
He said the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs required the couple to be in a relationship for two years for the women to receive residency and four years for her to receive citizenship.
While From Russia With Love has matched couples from all around Australia, no Tasmanian man has yet utilised the service.
"We aim to change that," Mr Girilovitch said.
